SoundBase Offline RF coord features, Soundbase Part III – #PST091
In #PST091, we continued discussing SoundBase with creators Donny Kuser and Matt Dale and reviewed the highly anticipated addition to the SoundBase RF coordination app. We also stepped through some of the new features and reviewed how to use the offline and online features of SoundBase.

Clear-Com, Arcadia Base Programming — PST #090

Frequency Coordinating Wireless Intercom in the 1.9 GHz band with Riedel Bolero — PST #089
On PST #089, we discussed Riedel Bolero with tips for operation in congested RF environments. As the production environment shifts to higher numbers of wireless intercom users on live events and broadcasts, the need to cooperate with multiple systems in the 1.9 and 2.4 GHz spectrum is necessary.
We were joined by Dave Caulwell and Matthew Dietzler from Riedel. They shared tips and best practices for operating Bolero systems in challenging environments and took over 80 questions from our live audience.

RAD System Design Fundamentals of a Hybrid VHF/UHF RF PL System – PST #075
On PST #075, we talk about the upcoming 600 MHz Spectrum, which closes for production wireless July 13! Join guests James Stoffo, Henry Cohen, Ike Zimbel, and Richard Stockton as they took us through the spectrum change and the design process for a RAD RF PL system. They covered all the system components and considerations including, transmit and receive, split and combine techniques, antenna choices, fiber vs. coax, and 2 and 4 wire interfacing. They also discussed the scene change function and other belt pack capabilities.

On PST #069, we dove into the topic of location audio for TV and Film production. Our guests were Karl Winkler of Lectrosonics, Jon Tatooles of Sound Devices, and Chris Howland, Cinema Audio Society. Chris is a sound mixer who has worked on numerous films and TV shows, including Ad Astra, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, The Mandalorian, S.W.A.T., among others.
