On PST #089, we discussed Riedel Bolero with tips for operation in congested RF environments. As the production environment shifts to higher numbers of wireless intercom users on live events and broadcasts, the need to cooperate with multiple systems in the 1.9 and 2.4 GHz spectrum is necessary.

We were joined by Dave Caulwell and Matthew Dietzler from Riedel. They shared tips and best practices for operating Bolero systems in challenging environments and took over 80 questions from our live audience.

On PST #085, John Huntington introduced us to show networking. We covered the basics of how ethernet networks provide a platform for entertainment control and audio/video media distribution. For applications in concerts, theatre productions, corporate and special events, cruise ship revues, wrestling shows, houses of worship, museum presentations, fountain spectaculars—any show presented live for an audience.

Join guests James Stoffo, Henry Cohen, Ike Zimbel, and Richard Stockton as they took us through the spectrum change and the design process for a RAD RF PL system. They covered all the system components and considerations including, transmit and receive, split and combine techniques, antenna choices, fiber vs. coax, and 2 and 4 wire interfacing.
